Lauren is currently developing (upcoming workshop production Summer 2019) Haleh Roshan's play A PLAY TITLED AFTER THE COLLECTIVE NOUN FOR FEMALE-IDENTIFYING 20-SOMETHINGS LIVING IN NYC IN THE 2010S. (OR, GIRLS.) and continuing development of both ON LOSS AND MICE AND MONSTERS AND LOVE with writer Emily Zemba (LPAC Rough Draft Festival 2018; The Drama League; Exquisite Corpse) and CONVERSATIONS WITH ELIZA, an original piece about the effect of technology on intimacy and empathy (The Drama League, First Draft Residency 2018).
Lauren was the Associate to Director Rachel Chavkin on the 2017-2018 national tour of Bess Wohl's SMALL MOUTH SOUNDS (Maximum Entertainment; Ars Nova production) and the Associate Director on James + Jerome's INK (The Metropolitan Museum of Art; The Public's 2018 Under the Radar Festival).
Last year, Lauren directed a production of Lauren Yee's IN A WORD and developed and directed Sarah Einspanier's IN SEARCH OF, both in the Directing Studio at Williamstown Theatre Festival. Additional directing credits include the development and premiere productions of Kaela Mae-Shing Garvin's AMBITION: THE FEMALE AMERICAN SERIAL KILLER MUSICAL (Ars Nova/ANT Fest); Matthew Minnicino's MALEFACTIONS (Chinatown Soup); Aeneas Sagar Hemphill's BLACK HOLLOW (Signature/Columbia); and Paige Goodloe's autobiographical piece, JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF A BLACK HOLE (Alchemical Theatre Lab).
In addition, Lauren is a co-founder, resident director, + co-producer of PLAYxPLAY, which creates collaborative opportunities for NYC based artists. Previously, she was also the co-founder and co-curator of the now defunct salon-series, Drinking Plays & Reading Wine, which read and discussed 32 new and published plays over 3 years, including a one-year residency at Jimmy's No. 43 in the East Village, NYC.
